This is the first essay on Studio, so it makes sense to start by saying what this is.
Studio is where I'll write about the work behind the work. Not case studies - those live on the Work page. Not service descriptions or job listings. Just essays, observations, and field notes on the practice of designing brand systems in 2026.
What I'll be writing about
Four threads, roughly.
Insights. Opinions on the field. Things I've learned the hard way. The kind of writing I wish I'd found earlier in my career.
AI practice. I'm building this site with Claude Code. I'm shipping client work with Cursor, Firefly, and a workflow that didn't exist a year ago. The tools are changing what senior brand designers can do alone. I'll write about what's working and what isn't.
Process. Behind-the-scenes from specific projects. The decisions that got cut. The directions that didn't make it to the final deck. The reasons something looks the way it does.
Field notes. Short observations. Links worth saving. Ideas brewing. The kind of post I'd otherwise lose in my notes app.
What I won't be writing about
Trends as trends. Tutorials. Tool reviews that read like ads. "How I made this in Figma" walkthroughs.
The bar I'm holding myself to: if I'm not bringing a real point of view or specific experience, the piece doesn't ship.
Cadence
When there's something worth saying. Not weekly. Probably not monthly. But often enough that this section doesn't look abandoned.
