Baraxis
The one where brand, product, and code became one job.
Baraxis is a business-management platform built for mobile bar operators - events, clients, invoices, contracts, staff scheduling, and analytics in a single dashboard. It started as a college project. Years later, with an IT degree behind me and a stack of tools that didn’t exist back then, I rebuilt it into a real product.
The reason it exists is simple: mobile bar operators run serious businesses - six-figure operations - on spreadsheets, group chats, and sticky notes. Every tool they use was built for someone else. Nobody had built for them.
So I built it. The brand, the product, the marketing site, the front-end and the backend - designed and shipped solo on a modern, AI-augmented stack. It’s live and processing real subscriptions. This is the project where the line between “designer” and “person who ships the thing” finally disappeared for me.
The Approach
A category nobody had branded
Most bar-industry branding leans into craft-cocktail romance — copper, candlelight, hand-lettering. But Baraxis isn’t for the cocktail; it’s for the operator running the business behind it. The brand had to feel built for that person: confident, business-first, no kitsch. Warm amber, sharp geometric type, clean structure. It looks like software you’d trust with your money, because that’s what it is.
Designing a product, not just screens
This wasn’t a marketing site with a hero and three feature cards. It’s a real application — a dashboard, invoice and contract flows with e-signatures, staff scheduling, a client CRM, analytics. I designed the full experience: the flows, the empty states, the error states, the logged-in life of someone using this every day under pressure. Product design, not decoration — every screen had to function, not just present.
Shipped solo, end to end
Brand in Affinity. Product in Figma. Then I built and deployed the working application myself — Next.js, Supabase, Stripe, Resend, deployed on Vercel, version-controlled on GitHub — using an AI-augmented workflow with Claude Code and Cursor. The AI handled a lot of the implementation; the design decisions, the architecture, and the judgment about what was good enough to ship were mine. One person, from idea to live product. That’s increasingly what senior design looks like.
